The Day After
The morning came with coffee tasted of yesterday. I traced the places you had been, as if touch could bring them back. Even the light seems tired - a pale echo of what it touched before. How could loss be so loud?
The day after is not an ending, but the slow reckoning of what was real.
Gotta answer nature's call
We spend up to a year of our lives on the toilet — a quiet, universal routine that rarely crosses our minds unless hygiene fails, the setting surprises us, or health calls attention to it. Interestingly, men spend almost twice as much time there as women.
As I travel the world, I’m fascinated by these ordinary yet revealing moments. Toilets, in all their forms, reflect culture, design, and humor — small spaces that say a lot about how people live. Through my lens, I capture the beauty, irony, and humanity found in this most private of places.
The world between the lines
There was a time when paper came alive beneath our hands. The soft sound of a turning page, the smell of old paper — sometimes marked with makeup or a splash of ketchup — told little stories about who the book belonged to. We could feel the weight of the words, the care and beauty the writer poured into every line.
Now we look at screens instead of beautiful covers.
We scroll, not wander.
We glance, not linger.
Words fade into the quiet hum of our machines.
Intertwined
Life doesn’t come to us as a raw, uncut diamond—it arrives already touched and shaped in some ways by our parents. Single Moments, single encounters can shape and change our existence. Much decide the destiny of each single human, but what if we recognize that each person’s joy and suffering are, in some way, our own? Though we believe that we are navigating our own individual path, the reality is somewhat different, as we are indeed connected as human beings.
I set out not just to capture my unknown, intertwined human beings from behind the lens, but to truly see them, to meet them with respect and kindness. A heartfelt thank you to everyone, who took part in this project.
